I just had a thought about Final Crisis #4

You know that scene where The Flashes find Iris Allen sitting in her apartment, watching the TV with the omega sign on it, receiving a steady stream of Anti-Life Equation? And then Barry Allen plants a lighting kiss on her and cures her?

Is this because the two of them share some cosmic love connection, and his kiss is like the prince awakening poisoned Snow White from death? Or is the Speed Force that gives Flash his powers Anti-Anti-Life, or are Flash kisses simply able to counteract the effects of the Anti-Life Equation?

Does this mean that Barry Allen could save the day simply by running around the world at super-speed, planting kisses on everybody currently in the thrall of the Anti-Life Equation?

Man, that would be awesome if Final Crisis #7 were nothing but 30 pages of nine-panel-grids of Flash making out with people...

If the solution to the Anti-Life equation were various assorted Flashes runnign around kissing people...well, it would possibly be the GREATEST comic book ending ever.

Personally, I want to be kissed by Jay. He's just so...dreamy.

I'd love a nice long kiss from Flash Wally West if it's an option.

Or maybe Barry is just one damn good kisser. ;-)

i said the exact same thing when i read it.

theory: possibly, since the speed force is moving barry and wally outside the effects, maybe barry imparted some speed to iris or whatever. however i think only wally ever exhibited that ability.

Yes, one of the theories is that the Speed Force is the herald of change or evolution, the opposite of the Anti-Life or the force of stagnation.

However, if it meant getting a snog from Wally (or XS), I'd go for your theory!

i like the idea but i disagree that it should be Final Crisis #7. it should be a tie-in titled Final Crisis: Smooch.

You know, if it were the "real" Barry who came back -- not the post-Crisis continuity Barry everyone presumably remembers now, but the one who died in CoIE in the days of the infinite Earths...then why not?

OMG...since the death or life of a Flash seems to be central to all of these various crisis that would be a likely thing to have happen. Now would it have to be a lip kiss with/without tongue or would a peck on the cheek work? Either way I will make sure to use mouthwash and hope to hell that 'IT' doesn't 'MOVE'...

I think it'll just be positive things undo the equation. Love, hope, things like that.
