April 5th's Meanwhile in Las Vegas...

This week's Las Vegas Weekly column takes a closer look at two DC superhero titles that just got new directions courtesy of two popular novelists, Wonder Woman and Aquaman: Sword of Atlantis, by Jodi Picoult and Tad Williams, respectively. You can read it by clicking here.

And while I'm link-blogging, I'd also like to point out that Troy Brownfield's Shotgunreviews.com recently got a major redesign and overhaul, complete with a big, huge messageboard. Troy writes like every third article on Newsarama.com (well, not really, but it sure seems like it sometimes) and edits the weekly "Best Shots" review column, which yours truly contributes to. The new and improved Shotgunreviews.com, in addition to taking a shotgun type approach to covering everything from comics to TV to music to professional wrestling, is the Best Shots crew's new HQ. So if you're a regular 'rama reader and want to tell us how wrong we are about something and what insufferable douchebags we all are, feel free to sign up and start discussing with us. Please. We're lonely. I can actually hear the cricets on the boards sometimes.

Finally, I'd have to really, really reach to think of a way to qualify Grindhouse as a comic book movie (Um, Robert Rodriguez directed comic book movie Sin City, and a lot of castmembers from Sin City reappear in Grindhouse...?), but it is awesome. And comic books are awesome. So, if you're on this site, that means you like things that are awesome. And that means you may enjoy reading my review of Grindhouse over at Donewaiting.com, which you can do by clicking here.
